A most common plant, a most useful herb, plantain, also known as broadleaf plantain (Plantago major), can be eaten raw or cooked. It contains compounds that may reduce inflammation, improve digestion, and promote wound healing. And no, it’s not related to plantain fruit, a type of banana.
