Fireweed Identification

Fireweed (Chamerion angustifolium) is a beautiful plant that is relatively easy to identify. Young leaves and shoots are edible (for more info see the links below). They can be used in salads, as a vegetable, and young shoots can be used as an asparagus substitute.
