Solo Overnight Bushcraft Camp – Building a Wickiup Shelter, Cooking Wild Edibles over the Fire

By | July 10, 2020

I hike in, build a shelter, light a fire, gather wild mushrooms and cattails, cook supper, sleep in the shelter. Next morning I have to light the fire again as the rain put it out completely. I cook coffee and oatmeal, show the gear I brought and head out. This area where I go is one of my favorite spots camping and I had camped there before with one of my friends when we were 14 years old. Brings back alot of good memories.

Gear brought and used : Fjallraven Kaipak 38L, Morakniv classic no.1, old garant axe that belonged to my grandfather, fjallraven trousers, Woods waterproof matches, Woods 1400 ml kettle, Hanwag Alaska boots, old sleeping bag, Nomadic Woodsman cap. Camera : Z6 with 24-70 F4 lens.
