Stinging Nettle – Wild Edibles Series

In this video we take a look at another one of my favorite wild edibles to look for, stinging nettle (aka Urtica dioica). Stinging nettle is high in vitamins A and C, and from what I understand, it has one of the highest concentrations of protein in any given edible plant.

This is a plant that I would consider a super-plant because of its many uses. Not only is it edible, but it is also medicinal in treating a variety of ailments. For more on it’s medicinal potential, I suggest the following article: http://wb.md/1cE8tmA

Stinging nettle is also a useful plant in making cordage and was even used by natives in making bow string.
