Wild Edibles In New England

By | August 14, 2012

I have said this many times in the past in various videos but it can’t hurt to say it again; DO NOT EAT ANYTHING YOU FIND OUT IN THE WOODS UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE WHAT IT IS! As I general rule I’d say stay away from mushrooms all together unless you really know your stuff. There are other useful plants you can find in the woods of New England but I only touched on a few. Not in the video things like birch can be used to get water in the early spring and late winter and willow branches can be used to help with headaches. The chemicals in willow are used to make asprin actually.
