Wild purple violets: Another useful yard “weed”

By | March 26, 2015

This is a great little mild tasting herb to add to smoothies and/or eat outright as a trail side nibble! We LOVE purple violets for a few reasons, the slimy mucilage properties are very good for sore throats and soothing the DT. We also use it to make a quick bush soap by scrubbing it between our hands with a little water and watch it foam a bit. Use can make a water infusion with this to drink or use as a skin spray. Its great to add to a salve or a scrub for eczema. Its got plenty of Vitamin C and A so its a good herb to use to prevent scurvy and boost the immune system!

Great for many things like breaking fever, stomach, skin and also tumors, blood restoring, spleen aiding and that also helps the immune system. Since it helps with blood its great for the heart and also women due to menstrual cycle.
